Green Day

We celebrated the holiday with a special series of events in the school.
The celebrations began with a Green Day, with everyone in the school dressed in green. The children looked great and it set the tone for a special day.
Next up were Y2 with their St. Patrick’s Day Assembly. Thank you Y2, we loved your assembly and learnt so much about Ireland’s patron saint.
Y2 and their friends in Y1 stayed with the rest of the school for the remainder of the day. It is always special when we get our whole school together.
Y4 also staged their annual bun sale in aid of Trócaire and the little treat was certainly well received. Donations from the bun sale (£150 - wow!) and from dressing in green will be added to the school’s Trócaire total. Thank you for your generosity.
In the afternoon the children staged a St. Patrick’s Day Variety Concert and we finished the day with our marvellous Irish dancers.
