Hi Viz Day

10th November 2017

Road safety was a focus for our PDMU (Personal Development & Mutual Understanding) work this week.  We are a rural school and the clocks have changed so it was important that we looked at road safety with the children at this time of year.

In order to promote an awareness of road safety and to highlight the importance of being seen, we staged a Hi Viz Day on Friday 10 November 2017.

The children looked fantastic in their Hi Viz clothing and we could definitely see them!

We now need to build on this and ensure that children can been seen by motorists.  Glenravel and District Community Residents' Association are supporting the school with our road safety work and they will kindly supply every child with a Hi Viz vest in the coming weeks.  The vest will have a slogan which was created by one of our pupils (more details to follow).  Parental support with this initiative is very important and we would ask you to encourage the children to wear something that is colourful or reflects light on their uniform or school bag.

Enjoy the photos.
