This is a little look through the keyhole in the world of Primary Three. This term
This term Primary Three have been very busy learning about their theme, Houses and Homes. We were very lucky to have a visit from architect Ms Siobhan McGarry who explained the processes of designing and planning houses. She showed the children plans of her own house and captured the children’s imagination. The children have really enjoyed researching their theme using non-fiction books and the internet. They discovered facts about houses in different climates, houses around the world and the different materials used to build houses. They recorded this information in their report. In Literacy the children have been busy learning about nouns and exploring how to find definitions of words using a dictionary. In numeracy the children have been learning how to tell the time to quarter and love the challenge of problem solving. In ICT they have been using the Scratch programme to write the algorithm for their house. P3 are little busy bees and look forward sharing more of their learning in 2020.
