Our footballers put in a great shift today at the Alliance SW Antrim Cumann na mBunscol indoor football tournament at the Antrim Forum. They were one of fourteen schools which participated in the competition which was divided into two sections. The boys came up against; St. Colmcille's, Mount St.Michael, St.Mary’s (Portglenone), St.Joesph’s (Crumlin), Moneynick/St.Oliver Plunkett’s.

We lost the first two games by a single goal before being beaten by a very slick and well organised St.Mary’s, Portglenone side who went on to win the competition outright for the second year in a row. After that, the boys licked their wounds, and served up a fantastic display against St. Joesph’s, Crumlin which finished 5-5. Next up was a combination of Moneynick and St.Oliver Plunkett’s, with the boys tasting defeated by the bare minimum. In the last game the boys decided before the match that their game could be improved by upping their work rate. They delivered on their promise and defeated the second placed team in the group (St. Colmcille's) 5-2, in a performance that they should be really proud of.

Our pupils were a credit to themselves, the school and the parish today; both on and off the court. It was plain to see the work that has been put in by the club with the boys.

Well done to the boys and their coach Mr McKenna.
